Cookie Policy (EU)
Last updated on May 31, 2026. This Cookie Policy applies to visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and explains how it works alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Affarit Studio SRL ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://affarit.com (the "website"). We keep our use of cookies to the minimum needed to run the site, and we ask for your consent before placing any cookie that is not strictly necessary.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels can be used for comparable purposes. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by this website; or third-party — set by another organisation.
- Session — deleted when you close your browser; or persistent — kept for a set period.
3. How we ask for your consent
The first time you visit, we show a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. For any other category you can choose:
- Accept all — allow every category;
- Reject non-essential — keep only strictly necessary cookies;
- Manage preferences — turn individual categories on or off.
We do not place non-essential cookies before you make a choice, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of every page. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which we will ask again.
4. Cookies we currently use
The website uses only strictly necessary, first-party cookies, listed below. For analytics we use a cookieless tool that runs only after you opt in (see section 5), so it does not appear in this table. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Category | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| affarit_consent | Strictly necessary | Affarit (first-party) | Remembers your cookie consent choices so we don't ask again on every page. | 180 days |
| sb-* | Strictly necessary | Supabase (first-party) | Keeps an administrator signed in to the private admin area. Set only after a successful admin login — never for ordinary visitors. | Session / refresh token |
5. Categories you can control
Our consent banner offers the categories below. Non-essential technologies load only after you opt in to the relevant category.
- Strictly necessary — always on. Required for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. Not used for tracking.
- Analytics — runs only if you opt in. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that records aggregated usage data such as page views. It does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other websites. The analytics script is loaded only after you allow this category, and stops if you withdraw consent. For more information, see the Vercel Web Analytics privacy and compliance documentation.
- Marketing — would be used to measure or personalise advertising. Not in use today.
6. What we deliberately avoid
To protect your privacy, this website:
- self-hosts its fonts, so loading a page does not send requests to Google Fonts or other font services;
- does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers, or any cross-site tracking (our only analytics is the cookieless tool described in section 5, which runs only with your consent);
- does not load reCAPTCHA or embedded video players that set cookies on standard pages.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to our preferences tool, you can control cookies through your browser settings — for example to delete existing cookies, block new ones, or be warned before a cookie is stored. Each browser is different; check your browser's help pages for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
8. Your rights
You have rights over your personal data, including access, rectification, erasure, and the right to withdraw consent. These are described in full in our Privacy Policy, which also explains how to contact us and how to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
